We can start our work on quality assurance product for Learning Management System
with some quality indicators on which the quality of Learning Management System will depend. These are
  • Security
When we are talking about the web security in terms of a Learning Management System then we can consider the following things
1-username and password
2-Services provided by the L.M.S.(like discussion forum or Announcement)

Here we are only talking about the security for the LMS ,not for the web server.
so for username and password,it should free from SQL Injection and for different kind of services different kind of vulnerability can occer for example if your LMS is providing discussion forum and announcement services then it should free from cross site scripting.

  • Accessability
The LMS should follow the guidelines provided by W3C for accessibility.
  • Load testing
How much load it can bear at a time or how many users concurrently access to this software.
  • Standard Confermence
For standard confermance we will look forword to SCORM standard which is well accepted standard for content.

Hi guys ,In my previous post i have discussed about quality guidelines necessary for elearning. You can check some elearning sites and can give inputs as comments to me.For that one good site is:
elearn.cdac.in (running successfully for two courses one concerns with cyber security and second one with software engineering)
